Hotels are fully booked, airlines increase flights

With the “rematch” between Finland and China, the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2024 taking place on July 13 is considered the most attractive night of all DIFF seasons so far, making Da Nang a destination chosen by many tourists these days.

Crowded with tourists, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hanh, a tourist from Ninh Binh, said that he had booked tickets for his whole family to visit Da Nang during this occasion a month in advance.

“Although this is not the first time watching fireworks, this year's fireworks finale is the one my family members are most looking forward to during this trip back to Da Nang.

Following the teams from the beginning of the season until now, the two teams in the final are evenly matched, so this will definitely be the most worth-watching competition night," said Mr. Hanh.

In the heat of the final night, according to information from the Organizing Committee, tickets for the final night of DIFF 2024 have been sold out very early. Therefore, many tourists coming to Da Nang this time are looking for places to watch fireworks outside of Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District).

On social networking forums about Da Nang tourism, there are a series of posts looking for places to watch fireworks, many customers even go to quite far away restaurants with high-floor balconies.

The number of flights to Da Nang during this time has also increased significantly. It is estimated that Da Nang will receive an average of 110-120 flights per day, with about 150 flights on July 13, 2024 (the day of the DIFF 2024 finale), an increase of about 25-35% compared to normal days.

Accommodations in prime locations around the Han River, the city center or places where you can easily watch the fireworks are booked months in advance.

Many hotels near the beach also recorded a similar situation. In the central area, homestays without a good view, which are less popular with tourists, also fell into a state of "full rooms" due to the surge in visitors to Da Nang during the final round of the Fireworks Festival.

“Many guests wait until the day of departure to book a hotel room, so it is very difficult to find a room. My house has been sold out on booking platforms for a long time. My apartment has a view of the city, so you can watch fireworks from afar, so on fireworks nights, there is a surcharge of 10-15% higher than usual, but guests are still happy to book a room,” said the owner of a homestay on Tran Bach Dang Street (Son Tra District, Da Nang).

Top competition in DIFF seasons

The "inconclusive" competition between China and Finland on the 4th night of competition left a special impression on visitors, with excellent performances that made the audience burst into emotions amidst the artistic sky of light and completely different musical tastes.

After this final qualifying round, many tourists want to come to Da Nang to witness the rematch between the two superpowers in the international fireworks industry.

With the theme “Future Pulse”, the Final Night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival – DIFF 2024 will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 13, 2024, broadcast live on VTV1, promising to bring unique artistic performances both in the sky and on the magnificent stage on the Han River.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the final night of DIFF 2024 will feature many famous artists such as MC Duc Bao, MC Hoang Oanh, singers Ho Quynh Huong, Uyen Linh, Hoang Hai, etc.

The stage is invested in a large scale with many modern technologies, along with special art performances.

In particular, the program also features the participation of foreign artists from Sun World Ba Na Hills; the creative combined performances of Vietnamese and international artists will inspire and evoke a message of world peace and humanity in line with the theme of DIFF 2024: “MADE IN UNITY: Global connection, Radiant five continents”.

All is ready for the most anticipated fireworks festival finale this summer in the coastal city of Da Nang.

According to information from the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, the total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the first 3 nights of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 reached 198,257, an increase of 11.7% compared to DIFF 2023.

Along with many famous destinations and large-scale festival events held, DIFF is one of the events with strong appeal, as more and more international tourists know and come to the city on the Han River.
