(PLVN) - In the era of globalization, reality around the world has proven that the business environment is the most important factor for the development of every enterprise in particular and the economy in general. It includes many factors such as geography, population, culture, technology, social stability... but the most important factor in the business environment is the legal environment.
When businesses plan to enter a new market, the first thing they often do is to carefully research the legal system and policies of that country, to decide whether to invest or not, and to have a suitable business plan.
Our country has developed as it is today, partly thanks to the Party and State having very correct policies, guidelines and regulations to continuously improve the business environment, creating all favorable conditions for enterprises, "all win".
Currently, we have more than 930 thousand active enterprises, about 14.4 thousand cooperatives and more than 5 million business households; they are the core force creating wealth and material; making important contributions to economic growth; creating jobs, increasing income for workers. Many Vietnamese enterprises have developed on a large scale, have global capacity, and even lead supply chains.
In big cities like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong… for many years now, businessmen from Japan, Korea, China… have come to invest, do business, consider Vietnam as their second homeland; they have become whole communities.
But society is constantly developing every day, so reforming the business environment is also a continuous and creative process. The "Business & Law" forum taking place today (October 9, 2024) with two of the main contents being discussion, answering, and working together to solve legal problems in the fields of tax and real estate; is a proof.
The event, organized by the Central Council for Coordination of Legal Dissemination and Education, once again affirmed that the Party, State and Government always attach importance to and create favorable conditions for the development of enterprises and entrepreneurs; in line with the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam at the 10th Central Conference of the 13th tenure, "highly unanimous in determining stronger breakthroughs in development institutions, removing bottlenecks and barriers, taking people and enterprises as the center".
Two days before the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch 103/CD-TTg dated October 7, 2024 on supporting businesses. There are two important instructions in the Official Dispatch. The first is to continue to make efforts and resolutely implement solutions and tasks within the authority to support businesses in removing difficulties and obstacles; in the process of formulating and promulgating policies, competent authorities need to create a favorable environment to help businesses develop.
Second, proactively and actively, within authority, meet, discuss, listen to comments and recommendations from businesses to promptly develop goals, tasks, development solutions, support and assistance. The "Business & Law" forum therefore has a deeper meaning.
These days, the whole country is having many activities in response to Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2024) and Vietnamese Law Day (November 9, 2024). Not only a response, the "Business & Law" Forum is also a practical event to concretize the viewpoint of "removing bottlenecks and barriers, taking people and businesses as the center"; the purpose of all businesses and entrepreneurs is to increasingly develop, grow, and do business effectively; together build an independent and powerful country; a democratic, progressive, and civilized society; and a prosperous and happy people.
