Ms. Huynh Thi Quynh Nhu - accountant of Prime Dai Loc Joint Stock Company (Dai Quang Industrial Park, Dai Loc) said that with nearly 20 years of operation, the company has affirmed the reputation of its wall tiles, floor tiles... in the domestic and foreign markets.
In 2023, Prime Dai Loc invested in the production of porcelain tiles (semi-porcelain), a high-end product line that has been favored by domestic and international customers with beautiful designs, high durability, and resistance to scratches and stains.
In 2024, in the context of the difficult global and domestic economic situation, Prime Dai Loc still maintains production to ensure no disruption in the supply chain and product distribution to the market.
According to Ms. Nhu, Prime Dai Loc's orientation is sustainable development; meanwhile, the enterprise has not been granted an environmental license. "I know that Quang Nam is promoting administrative procedure reform, improving the investment environment, creating maximum convenience for enterprises to produce and do business effectively. I hope that the provincial agencies will support our enterprise to be granted an environmental license to stabilize long-term production and business" - Ms. Nhu said.
Ms. Nguyen Thi My Tien - accountant of Germton Development Company Limited (Doi 30 Industrial Park, Phu Thinh Town, Phu Ninh) said that after acquiring My Hung factory (including workshop, warehouse, canteen), the company had a land lease contract with Phu Ninh district. Currently, the company has agreed to lease this factory to another company.
According to Ms. Tien, to legalize the lease, the enterprise went to work with the authorities of Phu Ninh district but was told that they did not have enough authority.
The company registered to work with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and was told that it could lease after converting the functions of the canteen and warehouse and merging them into a factory. This required approval from the Department of Planning and Investment. When Ms. Tien went to work with the Department of Planning and Investment, she was instructed to work with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
"Our business is running around but doesn't know how to solve the difficulties. We hope to have the obstacles removed," Ms. Tien suggested.
At the conference, many companies said that businesses cannot recover as before the COVID-19 pandemic, and they hope that the Provincial People's Committee will support land and water surface rent, support tourism and service recovery, handle administrative procedures by email instead of official dispatch, reduce taxes, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tiep - Director of Quang Nam Tax Department said, to support businesses facing many difficulties, in 2023, the tax sector has reduced taxes by more than 505.2 billion VND.
Of which, value added tax on goods and services will be reduced by VND412.6 billion from 10% to 8%; registration fees for domestically produced and assembled cars worth nearly VND55 billion will be reduced by 50%; and land and water surface rent will be reduced by VND37.6 billion.
In addition, value added tax, corporate income tax, and land rent were extended by VND1,328 billion. "Reducing taxes has helped businesses reduce input costs and stimulate social consumption. The tax sector continues to streamline procedures to facilitate businesses," said Mr. Tiep.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung said that the environmental license cannot be granted to Prime Dai Loc Joint Stock Company because Dai Quang Industrial Park has not completed the wastewater treatment system.
When an industrial park has not completed its environmental requirements, it is not possible to grant an environmental license to businesses operating in that industrial park. This is a common situation in most industrial parks in the province.
To overcome environmental limitations in industrial parks, the Provincial People's Committee assigned functional agencies to guide localities with industrial parks to access mechanisms and policies, invest in waste and wastewater treatment systems, meet environmental criteria and create conditions for enterprises operating in industrial parks to be granted environmental licenses to work stably and long-term.
According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung, in recent times, administrative reform in the province has been focused on; administrative procedures have been fully listed and publicized; public services have been promptly integrated to bring many benefits to businesses.
Mr. Tran Nam Hung assigned specific responsibilities to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Planning and Investment to urgently resolve the problems of Germton Development Company Limited, not letting the company run around in circles like in the past.
