Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên18/06/2024

In terms of design, the M2312W1 smartwatch model resembles the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, including a round watch face and a rotating crown on the side. The outstanding feature of the M2312W1 as revealed by TAF is the support for eSIM function. This allows the watch to connect to the mobile network independently, making calls and sending messages without connecting to a smartphone.

The listing also confirms the smartwatch’s compatibility with China’s two largest carriers, China Mobile and China Unicom. Additionally, the smartwatch’s battery is listed at 586 mAh, surpassing both the Xiaomi Watch S3 (486 mAh) and Watch 2 Pro (495 mAh), suggesting longer usage time on a single charge. Last month, the M2312W1 also received 3C quality certification in China, indicating that the product supports 10W charging.

While the listing from TAF offers limited details, a report from Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo shares some additional information about the smartwatch. According to DCS, the upcoming wearable will feature an OLED display, heart rate monitoring capabilities, GPS for navigation, and NFC for contactless payments.

DCS also suggests that the upcoming device’s key feature will be longer battery life, which isn’t surprising since it has the largest battery of any Xiaomi wearable since last year. According to the source, Xiaomi is also planning to install its in-house software Surge OS on the upcoming smartwatch.

It is currently unclear whether the M2312W1 belongs to Xiaomi's Watch 3 or Watch S series, but more details about this smartwatch are expected to emerge in the coming days.
