Mr. Thohir shared: "If asked, I want to win against Myanmar, Laos and the Philippines. If we lose to Vietnam, it is normal for a young team. If we try our best to reach the semi-finals and then lose, it is okay, but we fought to give our all.

I said from the beginning that at AFF, our goal is to give our best. With the current coach and players, we can at least reach the semi-finals of the AFF Cup. So in this regard, PSSI will evaluate everything."

The Indonesian team brought most of its young players to the AFF Cup 2024, to help them gain experience before attending the SEA Games 2025.

Mr. Thohir added: "This squad is expected to participate in the 2025 SEA Games to defend the gold medal. Not reaching the semi-finals of the 2024 AFF Cup is more or less competitive like the SEA Games later. This means that many things must be fixed immediately. There is still enough time, one more year. So let's improve, especially the coaches."

The PSSI President confirmed that there will be an evaluation of coach Shin Tae Yong's performance at the AFF Cup. He said that this evaluation is a normal and necessary thing.
