Lotus flowers in Hanoi have just entered the season, many locals and tourists have quickly come to admire the scenery and take pictures despite the hot, sultry weather.
Every year, from May to July is the time when lotus blooms at its peak in all the lagoons around Hanoi, especially in the Nhat Tan and Tay Ho areas. Amidst the dark green of the leaves, each early-season lotus flower shows off its gentle, beautiful pink and white colors. According to some pond owners, this year the lotus season is good, blooming earlier, and the flowers are also bigger and more beautiful. In mid-May, many young people did not mind the long distance or the "burning" heat to come to the lotus pond to take photos. Booths that rent costumes such as ao dai, ao yem, ao tu than, accessories such as fans, scarves, conical hats, makeup services... have been very profitable.

Ms. Ngoc Anh (30 years old, Hanoi) took her whole family to Tay Ho lotus pond to take beautiful photos on the occasion of her mother and daughter's birthday. "Unlike previous years, when lotus only started blooming around the end of May, this year the lotus bloomed earlier, right on the occasion of my mother and daughter's birthday. The whole family decided to arrange their work and go to the lotus pond to take souvenir photos," Ms. Anh said.

On a weekend afternoon, despite the hot, sultry weather, Pham Yen (21 years old, Nghe An) still went to the lotus pond to take photos. "The lotus flower symbolizes purity and innocence and is my favorite flower, so every time lotus season comes, I am very eager to take photos and buy lotus to display at home. Going early in the season like this means the lotus flowers are not in full bloom yet, but there are fewer visitors, reducing the crowding and waiting," Yen shared. Similar to Yen, Thu Hoai (23 years old) also chose to take photos with early-season lotus to avoid the crowding. "The lotus ponds are very beautiful, but if there are too many people jostling, you can slip and fall into the pond. Therefore, I think taking photos when it is not crowded will be safer," Hoai said. In addition to young people, many families, children, and middle-aged tourists also go to the lotus pond to capture beautiful photos. Some tourists passing by the lotus pond happily stop to admire the scenery and take photos.
