(NLDO) - Da Nang City arranges wards and communes so as not to cause inconvenience to people; does not let people go back and forth many times related to administrative procedures.
On December 2, concluding the conference to implement Resolution No. 1251/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of Da Nang city, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh requested agencies, units and localities to effectively implement the resolution.
According to the arrangement, from January 1, 2025, Da Nang City will have 8 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts and 2 counties; 47 commune-level administrative units, including 36 wards and 11 communes.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that currently all preparations for the merger according to Resolution 1251 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units are taking place on schedule.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested that districts in the merger roadmap need to do a good job of ideological work so that cadres and workers in the merged area can work with peace of mind, with the spirit of creating a comfortable mentality for workers.
Da Nang City ensures rights for people after merger
Regarding facilities, Da Nang City assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to be the focal point for carrying out procedures to invest in new or repaired headquarters and ensure compliance with regulations.
In particular, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested that the authorities must do a good job of propaganda, as well as ensure all rights and not disrupt people's lives when implementing the arrangement and merger of wards.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh emphasized that all rights of the people must be guaranteed, after the merger must be equal or better, there must be no procedural problems, and no inconvenience must be caused to the people. In case of necessity, the city will establish working groups to handle and resolve difficulties and suggestions of citizens.
According to Resolution 1251, Da Nang City adjusted a part of the natural area of 1.03km2, population of 15,220 people of Hoa Minh ward, Lien Chieu district to merge into Thanh Khe Tay ward, Thanh Khe district.
In Thanh Khe district, merge Hoa Khe ward into Thanh Khe Dong ward; merge Tam Thuan ward into Xuan Ha ward; merge Vinh Trung ward into Thac Gian ward; merge Tan Chinh ward into Chinh Gian ward.
For Hai Chau district, merge Nam Duong ward and Binh Hien ward into Phuoc Ninh ward; merge Hoa Thuan Dong ward into Binh Thuan ward. Establish Hai Chau ward on the basis of merging Hai Chau I and Hai Chau II wards. Adjust a part of the natural area of 0.19 km2 of Thuan Phuoc ward to merge into Thanh Binh ward; the remaining part remains as Thuan Phuoc ward.
For Son Tra district, establish An Hai Nam ward on the basis of merging the entire An Hai Dong and An Hai Tay wards. Adjust a part of the natural area of 0.57 km2, population size of 10,004 people of Tho Quang ward to merge into Man Thai ward.
