The Quang Da Bridge project is expected to be completed before March 8, and paved for technical traffic before March 29, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.
According to the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works in Da Nang (investor), the project has completed 64% of the contract value, of which the bridge part has been completed 75%. The road, drainage, irrigation ditches, and approach roads have been completed about 35%.
Quang Da bridge project is about to open to technical traffic.
The project has 156 files subject to clearance on the Da Nang side. Currently, 5/156 files have not signed the land handover minutes, of which 2 files are still stuck on the main road.
Quang Nam side (by Dien Ban Town People's Committee) has handed over the land in 11 files.
In addition, there were 5 cases of agricultural land cleared to build a connecting road to restore the residential road under the bridge without handing over the land.
According to the investor, the bridge will be closed before March 8, the asphalt road surface and bridge deck will be paved to ensure technical traffic opening before March 29, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Da Nang Liberation Day.
According to the investor's report, the project still has problems, due to the difference in height between the approach road surface and the natural ground level of about 5m. To complete the construction of the 50m approach road in Quang Nam, the northern belt road project of Quang Nam province must soon start the foundation construction of the section bordering the two projects.
At the same time, to serve the opening of Quang Da bridge connecting the two localities, the northern beltway of Quang Nam province needs to speed up construction progress, prioritizing the implementation of the section from the end of the Quang Da bridge project to the intersection with DH12 road in Dien Ban town (about 1.2km long) before March 29.
On February 7, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, inspected the progress of the Quang Da bridge project connecting Da Nang City and Quang Nam province, and discussed with the leaders of the People's Committee of Dien Ban town (Quang Nam province) about problems related to the progress of Quang Da bridge.
The parties agreed to complete the project on schedule and open it to traffic before March 29 because this is a very meaningful project for the two localities.
The Quang Da Bridge project across the Yen River, connecting Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province, was started in December 2023, with a construction period of 510 days. The total investment capital of the project is nearly 275 billion VND.
Quang Da Bridge has a total length of 1.4km, with a scale of 4 lanes. The starting point intersects with National Highway 14B in Hoa Khuong Commune (Hoa Vang District, Da Nang) and the end point connects with the Northern Belt Road Project of Quang Nam Province (in Dien Tien Commune, Dien Ban Town).
