The investor said that the bidding process and selection of a contractor for the Cho Moi - Bac Kan road project is expected to take place in early December.
Updating the progress of the Cho Moi - Bac Kan road construction investment project, the representative of Project Management Board 2 (investor) said that, up to now, the design consultant has completed the technical design documents and Project Management Board 2 has organized the appraisal, approval, and issuance of E-HSMT documents for the construction package on the national bidding network since November 7.

It is expected that on December 5, the bid opening will be carried out to select qualified contractors.
"If there are no unexpected situations, the project is expected to start construction in December this year according to the requirements of the Ministry of Transport's leaders," said a representative of Project Management Board 2.
According to this person, to serve the project implementation, Project Management Board 2 has implemented in parallel the contents related to design, approval and GPMB stake placement to hand over to the locality in 3 phases with a length of nearly 9.2km out of a total of nearly 29km.
According to the approved plan, the Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway, approximately 29km long, will be invested in a level 80 expressway, with a design speed of 80km/h, 4 lanes, and a roadbed width of 22m.
The connecting route is about 0.4km long, invested with a scale of 2 lanes, roadbed width of 12m.
Service roads, cross-roads, and return roads will be invested in and constructed in accordance with the current or planned road level (if any), ensuring a minimum scale of grade B rural roads with a roadbed width of 5m and a road surface width of 3.5m.
The total approved project investment is more than 5,750 billion VND, using public investment capital.
As planned, the project will be basically completed in 2026.
