The Ministry of Transport requested the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the authorities of Soc Son district to completely resolve the problem and hand over the remaining land area for the construction of Da Phuc bridge under the project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways before November 30, 2024.
The Ministry of Transport has just issued a document requesting the Hanoi People's Committee to speed up site clearance for the Da Phuc bridge project, part of the project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways (phase I).

According to the Ministry of Transport, the project to renovate weak bridges and connecting bridges on national highways (phase I) uses EDCF loans from the Korean Government, with the Ministry of Transport as the managing agency.
The main items include the construction of 6 bridges on a number of national highways. Currently, 4/6 bridges have been completed and put into use, the remaining 2 bridges (Da Phuc bridge, Ben Moi bridge) are under construction.
According to the original plan, the project was to be completed in May 2023. However, due to some objective reasons, the Ministry of Transport had to report to the Prime Minister and the sponsor EDCF to extend the project completion time to March 2025.
The Da Phuc bridge project in particular is part of a project that will start construction on June 24, 2022 and is expected to be completed in March 2025, at the same time as the project's loan agreement ends.
According to the report of Project Management Board 2 (project investor), up to now, the project has basically completed the items within the scope of the handed over site.
However, the construction area is still blocked by 7 households (about 40 m) and some technical infrastructure works in Soc Son district have not been relocated, so the construction of related items cannot be implemented. The above problems and difficulties have existed for a long time but have not been resolved yet.
To complete the project on schedule and promote investment efficiency, the Ministry of Transport requested the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the Soc Son District People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to focus on resolving difficulties and problems to hand over the remaining area to the contractor before November 30, 2024.
"The Ministry of Transport will direct Project Management Board 2 to closely coordinate with relevant local agencies during the implementation process," the document stated.
