(Dan Tri) - On March 21-23, the Ocean BBQ & Brew Festival took place in Ocean City, bringing 150 grilled dishes from 15 countries and 120 premium craft beers from around the world.
The event kicks off at 5pm on March 21 at Sake Village (Ocean Grill Village, Ocean City). The Ocean BBQ & Brew Festival promises to bring visitors a "3 in 1" experience: satisfy your taste buds with a variety of BBQ dishes, enjoy 120 types of craft and international beers, enjoy culinary cultural exchanges with grilling performances, and BBQ competitions.
The festival featured 5 international chefs from the World Barbecue Association, Worldchefs, who directly prepared and served the guests. Vice President of the World Barbecue Association Chef Don David (3-star Michelin chef) demonstrated the traditional grilling techniques of Azerbaijan, known as the "land of fire" and one of the cradles of BBQ in the world.
The festival also features chefs from Worldchefs, including chef Alan Payen - an international judge of Worldchefs with over 15 years of experience; chef Djordje Kostic - an expert in managing a chain of 14 high-end restaurants and hotels in Russia, Hungary, Kazakhstan; chef Suleyman Kursak, President of the Denizli Young Chefs Association (Türkiye), Worldchefs judge; chef Adrijana Alacki, President of Gastromak, founder of the leading international culinary championship in Southeast Europe in Macedonia.
The event was attended by 6 embassies of Azerbaijan, Spain, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Ukraine, the Vietnam - Belgium Friendship Association, and chefs from Korea, China, Japan, Mongolia, Germany, Italy, France, Brazil, and Mexico.
A journey of discovering grilled flavors from 15 countries
Bringing together a host of world-class chefs and international partners, Ocean BBQ & Brew Festival will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy the best grilled dishes from 15 countries around the world.
Starting from the entrance of the festival, Korean BBQ dishes will bring the authentic flavors of Korea such as honey grilled beef ribs, grilled spicy pork belly. Next is Chinese barbecue cuisine, featuring Peking duck, Sichuan spicy duck tongue using rich spicy spices.
Adjacent is the area of Japanese chefs with fragrant soy sauce skewers, tender miso grilled meat, and sweet and fatty grilled Japanese eel served with soba noodles and ramen noodles. Meanwhile, the Mongolian grill area treats visitors to whole roasted goat and black pepper grilled meat skewers with the nomadic style of the steppe. The West Asian region has Azerbaijan with Shishlik lamb or Türkiye, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan with traditional grilled dishes.
Leaving the Asian grill space, visitors can go to the European-style grill area with typical French and Italian grilled dishes, enjoy wood-fired pizzas, salted egg potatoes, French-style grilled beef, grilled salted salmon salad with fresh oranges...
The German chef will serve grilled German sausages with cheese and original hamburgers. The Ukrainian embassy delegation will present traditional grilled dishes with grilled meat skewers with onions, charcoal-grilled potato cakes, Kyiv grilled chicken, and Ukrainian grilled meatballs.
Amidst the colorful feast of the world, Vietnamese cuisine is present with grilled dishes bearing the traditional imprint, honoring the typical smoky flavor of the Northwest region. Diners enjoy grilled armpit pig with mac mat leaves, grilled mac khen chicken, grilled pork ribs, and grilled bamboo rice. The whole roasted veal dish will be grilled live at the festival, bringing a rustic but rich flavor, imbued with the essence of Vietnamese grilling.

Collection of 120 beers from the world and Vietnam
Distributor and manufacturer C-Brewmaster brings 21 famous Belgian beers such as Chimay, Duvel, Kasteel, La Chouffe, St. Bernardus…; 24 German beers including Kaiserdom, Ayinger, Weihenstephaner, Paulaner… and 5 premium Dutch beers, notably La Trappe.

Ocean BBQ & Brew Festival also brings a vibrant atmosphere with a series of attractive activities, in which the highlight is the BBQ competition for semi-professional chefs and street chefs.
With the theme "Fire & Passion " , the competition takes place in the form of a direct competition. The winner has the opportunity to receive a prize of up to 10 million VND and a certificate of award from international chef judges.
