Ready for the opening of the DIFF 2023 International Fireworks Festival

(HNMO) - As of the afternoon of May 29, all preparations for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 have been basically completed. The organizing committee promises to bring a grand and attractive opening night to visitors on June 2.

The fireworks displays of the Vietnamese and Finnish teams have been installed and are ready for the opening night.

At the fireworks display site on the west bank of the Han River on the afternoon of May 29, the Organizing Committee has prepared conditions for the host team Vietnam and Joho Pyro AB (Finland) - the reigning champion of DIFF 2019 - to set up fireworks for the opening night competition with the theme "Peace for Humanity".

The organizers have finished installing the main stand.

On the East bank of the Han River, the stage and grandstands for DIFF have been basically completed and are being decorated and aesthetically enhanced in time for the opening ceremony. According to Mr. Tran Xuan Hung, Head of Project Management Board of Sun Group - the unit in charge of the DIFF event, all stage items for the art program have been almost 100% completed.

The stage area is designed to be magnificent with a width of 1,050m2, located in the riverside area of ​​Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District). The total length of the stage is 62m, 22m wide, with a 5-7m gap extending into the middle of the river. With the theme idea of ​​DIFF 2023 being "World without distance", the stage will have a modern, open style to maximize the brilliant night scene of the Han River city.

The stage, which is over 1,000 square meters wide, is in its final stages of completion.

“With this idea, the construction is more complicated, the implementation time is only 1/3 compared to previous years and requires high precision. All construction items on the fireworks stage meet Vietnamese standards for construction work, in a short time, 2 shifts are continuously constructed day and night to meet the progress, the team of engineers and workers are on duty regularly to ensure the technical safety requirements”, said Mr. Tran Xuan Hung.

Meanwhile, the grandstand area has a capacity of more than 5,000 seats, with 3 sub-areas with 8 areas, total area of ​​about 9,500m2. The grandstand is designed according to the correct standards, safety inspection at all stages to ensure the safest for visitors, as well as calculating the stages of sound and light at the locations, so that the audience can feel the sound while the fireworks are fully launched.

The opening ceremony of DIFF 2023 will be broadcast live on VTV1 - Vietnam Television on the evening of June 2.
