After yesterday's 12-point drop, investors unexpectedly entered the market today with a positive mood. The indices were quickly pushed above the reference, with green covering banking, securities, and information technology stocks...
In particular, bank stocks such as CTG, TCB, STB, HDB, BID, EIB, MBB, VPB... all increased well, leading the market. The group of securities with VND unexpectedly increased to the maximum limit.

Many small stocks even increased to their full range today, with QCG and GEE hitting the ceiling for two consecutive sessions. QCG is receiving a good FOMO cash flow as Quoc Cuong Gia Lai announced that its Q4/2024 profit increased by more than 400% compared to the same period last year.
At the end of the morning session, VN-Index increased by nearly 8 points to 1,260.98 points. Market liquidity remained at a fairly good level with more than 7.6 trillion VND traded.
Buying power became more excited in the afternoon session. Banking stocks maintained their upward momentum, with CTG rising sharply by 3.55%, contributing the most to the index's growth. In addition, except for GPB, which fell and LPB, which stood at reference, the remaining banking stocks all closed the session in the green.
Securities stocks VND, APG, OGC maintained purple color, the remaining stocks mostly increased. VND and VIX were also the two most active trading codes on the floor today.
Closing, HOSE floor had 361 stocks increasing and 106 stocks decreasing, VN-Index increased 11.65 points (+0.93%), to 1,264.68 points, regaining almost all of what was lost in yesterday's session.
Total trading volume reached over 660.3 million units, worth VND15,325.4 billion, up from yesterday's session. The downside was that foreign investors net sold VND946 billion on the floor.
The HNX closed today with 114 stocks increasing and 52 stocks decreasing, the HNX-Index increased by 3.12 points (+1.4%), to 226.61 points. The total matched volume reached more than 60.1 million units, worth 918.8 billion VND.
UpCoM-Index today increased 0.8 points (+0.84%), to 95.31 points.
