"The first Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2023" opened on August 4, 2023. The event took place from August 4 to August 6 with a series of unique cultural - entertainment - artistic - sports activities along with many experiential activities, rich and attractive trade and tourism stimulus programs to serve people and tourists. The river festival is organized to preserve and promote cultural - historical values, build typical products and events. Seen from above, the festival atmosphere is very dynamic, majestic and colorful day and night with exciting and attractive performances such as: boat racing, paragliding, jet surfing, flyboard surfing, drone light show... The photo series was sent by the author to participate in the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam", organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications. The highlight of the program will be the art program with the theme "Saigon - The River Tells Stories", recreating the historical story of Saigon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, the space "On the Wharf Under the Boat" will also be recreated with 30 booths introducing regional cuisine, traditional cakes, delicious fruits and typical products. In addition, the festival will also organize many water sports activities, such as traditional boat racing, paragliding performance, flying by water jet board - Flyboard, high-altitude paragliding lighting show and traditional boat racing, water canoe performance and SUP interactive activities... promising to bring interesting experiences to people and visitors. In particular, the exchange performance program, recreating the intangible cultural heritage space with types recognized by UNESCO, also brings uniqueness to the festival. Exchange activities such as “Heritage Regions”, calligraphy instruction and gifting, dragon boat racing on land, bamboo dancing, sack dancing, stilt walking… will create opportunities for people and tourists at home and abroad to experience unique cultures. In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest “Happy Vietnam” will continue to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website   https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over. The contest aims to honor individuals and groups with positive information products, making practical contributions to the propaganda and promotion of a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world.
