(Dan Tri) - Since 3:30 a.m. today (December 15th of the Lunar calendar), many shippers have come to Hang Be market, lining up to receive offerings to deliver to customers all over Hanoi.
Unlike the crowded scene every year, at 7am on January 14 (15th of the 12th lunar month), there was no longer the scene of people in the capital bustling to buy offerings at Hang Be market (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi), only delivery people came to pick up offerings. The most famous item in the busiest stall of Hang Be market is the boiled chicken with rose in its mouth. From early morning, chickens are slaughtered and boiled right at the store, then the seller attaches toothpicks to shape them. Chickens at Hang Be market cost 250,000 VND/kg. Each chicken weighs about 2-3kg and costs up to 500,000-750,000 VND/chicken. Shippers continuously come to pick up chicken with rose, sticky rice,... to deliver to customers all over the capital. A shipper shared: "Because today is a weekday, many people cannot go directly to the market to buy offerings, so they call for home delivery. There are a lot of orders on the full moon day, I have to deliver from 3am, to districts like Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay, Dong Da,... It is expected that I will have to deliver the items until noon." Hang Be Market has a wide variety of goods, people only need to shop around the market to prepare a full offering tray. Ready-made ingredients for the soup cost 80,000-100,000 VND/kg, fresh bamboo shoots cost 200,000 VND/kg. This is also the item with the most stable price. Traders in the market said that customers who come here to buy often prioritize beauty and deliciousness, so they rarely bargain. A plate of sticky rice costs from 60,000 to 120,000 VND depending on the size.
The flower trays for the full moon of the twelfth lunar month include many types of flowers such as chrysanthemums, roses, grapefruit flowers, and areca flowers, priced from 150,000 to 200,000 VND/tray. A tray of fresh areca nuts with 3 fruits costs 40,000 VND/tray, and a tray of 1 areca nut costs 15,000 VND/tray. Also at the traditional market on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street (Hoan Kiem District), this morning, crowds of people stood along both sides of the street waiting to shop. On holidays, the fruit stalls are also more abundant than usual, with more bunches of green bananas, dragon fruit, etc. to serve customers as offering trays. It is not difficult to see peach blossoms on the streets of the capital. Each small peach branch costs from 100,000 VND.
