Quang Yen focuses on investing in urban infrastructure development

Quang Yen has focused on planning, planning management and concentrating resources on investment in building technical infrastructure and social infrastructure for urban development. Prioritizing the development of traffic infrastructure with 139 projects; including 7 traffic works managed by the province, 132 inter-ward, inter-village works with a total cost of 4,208 billion VND. The town's traffic infrastructure has therefore made great strides with many projects to upgrade and expand highways and provincial roads connecting Quang Yen with important economic centers, such as the Ben Rung Bridge connecting road project; Ha Long Xanh intersection; Dam Nha Mac intersection; riverside road connecting Ha Long - Hai Phong highway to Dong Trieu city.

Many projects to renovate and upgrade traffic infrastructure have also been invested in, such as renovating and upgrading provincial road 331B; extending provincial road 338; connecting road 331 with provincial road 338; connecting road from Cho Roc intersection to Phong Hai intersection...

Currently, Quang Yen Town has established a Project to develop key traffic infrastructure in the area until 2025, with a vision to 2030. The total number of road traffic infrastructure projects invested by the end of 2030 is 118 projects. There are 42 projects in the 2024-2025 period and 76 projects in the 2026-2030 period. The total investment capital demand is more than 11,000 billion VND. These key traffic projects not only connect synchronous traffic, expand the development space, and socio-economic trade between Quang Yen and other regions, but also create technical infrastructure for people in the region to develop the economy and improve the quality of life.

At the same time, the town has also actively implemented technical infrastructure and urban infrastructure projects. Specifically, Quang Yen has focused on investing in the construction and renovation of some major traffic intersections in the central area; investing in planting urban trees, building sidewalks and upgrading lighting systems on village and area roads. At the same time, investing in social infrastructure works to serve social security, especially educational infrastructure. From 2020 to present, the town has invested in the construction of 26 new schools, with a budget of over 763 billion VND. Every year, it directs the implementation of renovation and minor repairs of schools, with a budget of nearly 47 billion VND. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Principal of Song Khoai Secondary School, said: “Our school has just invested in building a new 3-storey classroom block with full functions to serve teaching and learning. Thereby, helping the school ensure the number of classrooms fully meet the requirements of the new 2018 general education program.”

Currently, the urban planning of all layers in Quang Yen is also basically covered as a basis for the town to establish projects to attract investment in urban projects, resort tourism, contributing to changes in space, landscape, and urban architecture. Some urban projects are being implemented, such as the area   Ha Long Xanh complex, Khe Cat residential area, residential area west of Dong Mai Brewery and some projects are being proposed to attract investment...

According to Mr. Le Manh Tuyen, Vice Chairman of Quang Yen Town People's Committee, the orientation of developing Quang Yen urban space is in the direction of multi-center - multi-line; multi-center includes a focus as the central urban area and 5 satellites which are dynamic clusters associated with industry, seaports; multi-industry high-tech industry; sea tourism, mountain tourism, cultural relic tourism of craft villages. Multi-line includes expressway corridor - riverside corridor - provincial road 338 corridor connecting Lach Huyen port (Hai Phong city) associated with regional economic corridors.

To achieve this goal, in the 2024-2025 period, Quang Yen will mobilize more than 1,800 billion VND to invest in many key traffic projects, urban projects, health care, and education. Along with that, the locality also mobilizes the participation of the entire political system to synchronously deploy many solutions to realize the set goals.
