On July 17, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Duy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Son district, requested agencies, units and individuals to urgently consider disciplining a principal for domestic violence.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Binh Son district announced the consideration of disciplinary action against the official Mr. Dang Xuan Hien, Principal of Binh Chuong Primary and Secondary School, for domestic violence.

Mr. Dang Xuan Hien committed an act of domestic violence against Ms. HTKC (Mr. Hien's wife) at noon on April 10, recorded in a clip posted on social media on the evening of the same day, April 10.
Mr. Hien's behavior violates the provisions of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. According to Article 2, it is "torture, abuse, beating or other intentional acts that harm health and life".
Binh Son District People's Committee requested heads of relevant agencies and units to urgently implement disciplinary procedures and report the results to the District People's Committee before September 10.
Previously, Mr. Hien had committed acts of violence against his wife and daughter (the person who posted the clip on Facebook), requesting the State agency to resolve the case in accordance with the law.
During the investigation, Mr. Hien said that his act of pushing his wife did not affect Ms. HTKC's health and affirmed that his actions were not domestic violence.
