A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that to quickly clear the landing passengers, Tan Son Nhat Airport has increased its staff and optimized the check-in process. After Tet, the demand for passengers to travel by taxi and technology car has increased, so they have to wait quite a long time to catch a car home.

Airport security staff are also coordinated to support passengers in the terminal and parking areas. From the 4th to the 8th of Tet, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport will arrange 2 free shuttle buses for passengers from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the parking area in front of the airport gate to easily and conveniently catch taxis and technology cars.

Tan Son Nhat Airport encourages passengers to book technology cars or use public transport in advance to avoid long waiting times, carefully check flight information, landing times and choose a reasonable travel time to avoid congestion.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, there will be about 87,358 international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City, an increase of 16.5% compared to the figure of 75,000 in the same period in 2024.

The increase in the number of international visitors also helped the room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments in Ho Chi Minh City increase by 44.4% over the same period last year, reaching about 65%. Revenue is estimated at about VND 7,690 billion, up 17.4% compared to VND 6,550 billion in the same period in 2024.
