(Baoquangngai.vn) - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested the Housing and Urban Development Investment Corporation to speed up the construction progress of the social housing project; Quang Ngai province committed to continue to accompany and remove difficulties for the investor to implement the project smoothly.
On the afternoon of March 20, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang and leaders of relevant departments and branches inspected the actual location of the land plot planned to build a social housing area in Phu My New Urban Area (Quang Ngai City) invested by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD).
The land plot for social housing construction has an area of 15,567 thousand square meters; the number of floors allowed to be built is 9; the number of apartments is 384, with a total floor area of 36,7 thousand square meters, serving a population of about 1,000 people.

According to the investor's report, the goal of the HUD - Phu My Social Housing project is to concretize the detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 of Phu My New Urban Area; create a housing fund and meet the housing needs of beneficiaries of social housing policies according to regulations.
The total investment of the project is 450 billion VND, from the investor's own capital and other legally mobilized capital sources. The investment form is to invest in the construction of 2 new towers (each tower has 9 floors, with 192 apartments); the project implementation progress is from 2025 to the end of 2028.
Up to this point, of the total 15,567 thousand square meters of construction land, there are about 2,955 square meters of land that have not completed compensation and site clearance. The land is being deployed with essential technical infrastructure, expected to be completed in 2025.

Regarding the project implementation status, up to now, HUD Corporation has hired a consulting organization to prepare a feasibility study report and basic design. The dossier has been completed, and technical and total investment appraisals are being organized.
It is expected that in 2025, the investment project approval and construction drawing design will be completed; and the investment in phase 1 will be implemented. In 2026 - 2027, phase 1 of the project with a scale of 192 apartments in block B will be completed. In 2028, phase 2 with a scale of 192 apartments in block A will be completed.
Through inspection, survey of implementation progress and working with the investor, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang requested the investor to speed up the project progress, ensure construction quality and create favorable conditions for people to access social housing.
The provincial government pledged to continue to accompany and remove difficulties for investors to implement the project smoothly; at the same time, the province will strive to attract more social housing projects, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people.

In order to meet the housing needs of people, especially low-income people, Quang Ngai province has been implementing many policies to support and promote the development of social housing.
In recent times, the province has focused on removing obstacles in investment procedures, land funds, capital sources and preferential policies to encourage businesses to participate in building social housing. Thanks to that, many projects have been implemented, contributing to improving people's lives, ensuring social security, improving the quality of life of workers in industrial parks, and stabilizing the labor force. In addition, the projects will help reduce pressure on urban infrastructure, attract investment in industrial parks and promote economic and social development.
