On the afternoon of July 23, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Director of Quang Nam Central General Hospital, said that the hospital received a patient who was stung by a wasp and was in critical condition.
This person was identified as Mr. LVP (31 years old, residing in Trung Thanh village, Tam My Tay commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam). Doctor Hung said that the patient suffered from anaphylactic shock, cardiac arrest, and respiratory arrest. Before being transferred to this hospital, he had received first aid at the hospital of Division 315 (Military Region 5).
Mr. P. is currently in critical condition, with a very poor prognosis. |
After being transferred to Quang Nam Central General Hospital, the patient was resuscitated by doctors and his heart rate returned. The patient is currently on a ventilator and doctors are actively treating him.
However, at present, the patient's prognosis is very poor, and his family wants to transfer him to a hospital in Da Nang City, hoping that while there is life, there is hope. However, the doctors are explaining to his family that if he leaves the hospital, he may not survive.
Mr. Phan Dinh Dung, Chairman of Tam My Tay Commune People's Committee, informed that this morning, Mr. P. and some people went to Quang Ngai province to collect wasp nest pupae to sell for money. Afterwards, Mr. P. was stung in the face by a bee and was taken to the hospital by local people for emergency treatment.
Mr. P.'s family situation is difficult, the couple does not have stable jobs, raising 3 children aged 4-6, so Mr. P. goes into the forest every day to collect beehives to sell for money. Currently, the locality is mobilizing people to donate to support Mr. P.'s family.
