On the morning of March 2, in Da Nang city, the Party Committee of Military Region 5 held a meeting of the Steering Committee for implementing grassroots democracy regulations, summarizing the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations in the armed forces of the Military Region and deploying tasks for 2024.
In 2023, the Steering Committee for the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations advised the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command to lead, direct, and comprehensively and closely implement the grassroots democracy regulations. The effectiveness of democracy implementation in party organizations was improved; cadres, soldiers, workers, and organizations promoted their democratic rights; democratic dialogue and other forms of democracy were implemented synchronously and effectively, contributing to building internal solidarity and successfully completing all assigned tasks.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Luong Dinh Chung, member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 5, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations of Military Region 5, highly appreciated the outstanding results of the Steering Committee in advising and guiding agencies and units to implement grassroots democracy regulations in the past time. The Steering Committee and agencies and units need to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement resolutions, directives, regulations and instructions of superiors on the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations; Advise the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command to lead and direct the overcoming of weaknesses and weak links in the implementation. Agencies and units continue to direct the promotion of propaganda, education and thorough understanding of the Party's viewpoints and policies to raise awareness of the role, position and significance of implementing grassroots democracy regulations for cadres, party members and soldiers in the unit.
Units strengthen internal solidarity, military-civilian solidarity, strictly comply with military discipline, state laws, and unit regulations, build regular units, a healthy cultural environment, a vibrant emulation movement, ensure traffic safety, safety in training and unit management; direct and guide grassroots units to organize the "Democracy - Discipline" forum./.
