(NLDO) - A man in Binh Thuan spent more than 50 million VND on a circumcision and had to call his family for help with hospital fees.
On the afternoon of February 11, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai Tung, Deputy Chief of Office of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee signed a document to send to Binh Thuan Department of Health to inspect and report the incident that occurred at Binh Thuan General Clinic.
Previously, there was information posted on social media to "warn" Binh Thuan General Clinic (private) about Mr. TPĐ. (23 years old, living in Phu Quy district) coming for examination and circumcision procedure with the total cost recorded in the hospital debt receipt being more than 50 million VND, with a photo of this receipt attached.

Meanwhile, at the initial consultation, this clinic only quoted the patient a cost of only 1.8 million VND.
After that, Mr. D. had to call home for help to have money to pay the hospital bill.
The People's Committee of Binh Thuan province directed that, based on information reflected on social networks about the incident at Binh Thuan General Clinic in Phan Thiet City, the Department of Health should inspect and handle the above incident (if there is any violation) according to the prescribed authority and report to the Provincial People's Committee before February 14, 2025.
The incident was widely spread and shared on social networks, attracting public attention. It is known that the Inspectorate of the Department of Health of Binh Thuan province will also work with Mr. D. to learn more about the incident.
