Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên09/11/2023

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Duong Anh Duc said: "In today's era, if we do not pay attention to digital transformation, it means we are falling behind. The application of information technology (IT) in education is identified as one of the important tasks to innovate teaching and management methods as well as improve the quality of educational activities."

According to Mr. Duc, the Southeast region has a particularly important strategic role and position in terms of politics, economics, culture, society, national defense, security and foreign affairs of the whole country.

Resolution 24 of the Politburo identifies the Southeast as a dynamically developing region, a center of economics, finance, trade, services, education and training, high-quality human resource development, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation, leading the country and Southeast Asia, playing an important role in linking development with other economic regions.

The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee emphasized that in order to maintain its role as an economic locomotive and continue to increase its contributions to the national economy, the Southeast region is very interested in investing in new areas. In particular, digital transformation is one of the areas that Ho Chi Minh City, together with other provinces and cities, has focused on developing recently. Currently, the digital infrastructure of the education and training sector has made clear progress.

Mr. Duc added: "To be able to successfully transform digitally is not an easy task, because digital transformation is not just a matter of technology. Technology is ultimately just a tool, people and awareness are the most important. Therefore, to effectively and efficiently carry out digital transformation in education, it is necessary to clearly see the nature of the problem to determine what is the key, what is the obstacle, and from there focus on building tools and mechanisms."
