On the morning of February 12, the Executive Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee held its 23rd meeting, giving guidelines on the content of the Project to arrange and streamline the apparatus and staff according to Resolution 18.

At the meeting, Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, said: The Provincial Party Committee has just received the resignation letter of Mr. Lo Van Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, with the reason for resignation for medical treatment.

Based on regulations and considering the personal wishes of the cadre requesting to resign, the Executive Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee unanimously decided to let Mr. Lo Van Tien resign according to his wishes.

Mr. Lo Van Tien (56 years old, from Dien Bien province) has a Master's degree in Agriculture. He used to be Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dien Bien province; Secretary of the Tua Chua District Party Committee. Since 2016, Mr. Tien has been Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province.

To create favorable conditions for streamlining the apparatus to be effective and efficient, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee Luong Van Thuc and Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Thi Vinh have requested early retirement.
