On the afternoon of January 31 (the third day of Tet), according to the reporter of Giao thong Newspaper, thousands of vehicles carrying tourists flocked to tourist destinations in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The beaches were still packed with visitors, swimming in the sea and many streets were crowded with traffic.
Many families take their children to the beach in early spring.
According to the Center for Management and Support of Tourists in Vung Tau City (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), from January 27 to January 31 (December 28 of the lunar calendar to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year 2025), an estimated 91,800 people visited Vung Tau. On January 31 alone (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year 2025), an estimated 51,000 people visited the beach.
From January 27 to the third day of the Lunar New Year, functional units handled 13 cases of street vending, of which 7 cases were handled on the third day alone and administrative violations were proposed to be handled according to regulations.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong, a tourist from Dong Nai, said that the weather in Vung Tau this year is quite nice. The early mornings and evenings are chilly and cool, so it is very comfortable and suitable for swimming all day.
"This year, my family chose to travel on the 3rd and 4th days of Tet in Vung Tau. The beach is beautiful, the streets are congested but not too bad. The hotel we stayed at was 5-star, each room cost over 4 million VND, this price is almost double the usual price," Ms. Thuong shared.
It is noted that some routes such as Phan Van Tri, Phan Chu Trinh, Pho Duc Chinh, Thuy Van, Thi Sach are places with a high concentration of hotels and motels, with an average number of guests booking rooms. Room rates are double or one and a half times higher than normal days, depending on the location.
During this Tet holiday, localities and people work together to ensure security and order, environmental sanitation and provide the best services for tourists.
Rescue forces are on duty to ensure the safety of visitors.
In particular, the water rescue force assigned 100% of its personnel to be on duty at tourist areas, spots and public beaches such as Bai Sau, Bai Truoc, Bai Dua, Bai Vong Nguyet, Bai Chi Linh...
Local police regularly patrol and set up checkpoints to ensure security, order, environmental sanitation, urban order, and traffic safety in tourist areas and coastal routes with high concentrations of tourists.
Although the waves are big, the number of beachgoers is still very large.
It is known that at noon and early afternoon of the 3rd day of Tet, because many families started going on spring trips, thousands of vehicles headed to the coastal city of Vung Tau, causing National Highway 51 to be overloaded and congested. Particularly heavy congestion occurred at the intersection between National Highway 51 and Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway.

The total number of visitors for tourism, entertainment, and accommodation at hotels, tourist areas, and beaches in the area is about 228,702, an increase of 38.27% compared to the Lunar New Year in 2024.
Of which, there are about 137,542 guests staying, of which about 15,167 are international guests. Revenue is about 210,565 billion VND, an increase of 140.998% compared to the Lunar New Year 2024 (210,565 billion/87,372 billion). Room occupancy is about 65-75%.
