Chef Campbell when he worked at the White House

Campbell’s body was found at around 10am on July 24 at a depth of about 2.4m. Police said he was not wearing a life jacket.

Mr. Campbell was a White House kitchen assistant and continued to work for the Obama family after his second presidential term ended in 2016.

"Tafari was a beloved part of our family," according to the Obama family. The chef is survived by his wife and twin sons.

Before his death, Mr. Campbell went to Martha's Vineyard, but Mr. Obama's family was not present. Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of Mr. Campbell's death, The Guardian reported.
