The guest list is also something that many people are interested in. Accordingly, Donald Trump's inauguration will have the participation of many politicians and wealthy people, who are also major donors to his election campaign.
Politician
Outgoing President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, along with their spouses, First Lady Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, will attend the ceremony, reviving the tradition of the winner and loser sharing the stage. Trump previously declined to attend Biden’s 2021 inauguration, instead flying back to Florida just before the ceremony.
Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton will also be present at the event, although they have declined to attend the traditional post-ceremony luncheon. Of the former First Ladies, only Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush have confirmed their attendance, while Michelle Obama has announced her absence.
Technology leaders
The world's top tech leaders will attend the ceremony, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. They will sit on the podium alongside former presidents, the Trump family and cabinet members.

Elon Musk - CEO of Tesla and SpaceX not only contributed more than 250 million USD to Donald Trump's campaign but was also appointed as co-leader of the new Department of Government Efficiency.
Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post, despite not supporting Mr. Trump in editorials in the newspaper, still decided to attend.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has made a series of strategic changes, including changing its content moderation policy to accommodate the new administration.
Other tech CEOs who will also be in attendance include Shou Zi Chew (TikTok), Sundar Pichai (Google), Tim Cook (Apple), Sam Altman (OpenAI), and Dara Khosrowshahi (Uber). These companies have all contributed at least $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund. They hope that new tax, trade, and antitrust policies will benefit the tech industry.
International Leadership
Another highlight of this inauguration is the attendance of heads of state, something unprecedented in American history.
Argentine President Javier Milei and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, political allies of Donald Trump, are confirmed to attend.
In addition, right-wing leaders such as Santiago Abascal (Spain), Nigel Farage (UK), and representatives from far-right parties in Belgium, France, and Germany will also be present.
Mr Trump has also invited Chinese President Xi Jinping as a sign of goodwill for dialogue. Although Mr Xi cannot attend, China will send Vice President Han Zheng in his place.
Other leaders such as Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya have also confirmed their attendance.
Celebrities and social media personalities
The inauguration is expected to attract many celebrities such as Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Dana White and Megyn Kelly. Notably, singer Carrie Underwood will perform "America the Beautiful" during the program.
Social media celebrities Jake and Logan Paul, Theo Von, Bryce Hall and the Nelk Boys will also be in attendance. During the campaign, Trump appeared on their podcasts to reach young voters.
Due to the cold weather, the inauguration will be held inside the Capitol building, instead of outdoors as originally planned. The temperature on January 20 is forecast to be around -5.5°C, the lowest since Ronald Reagan's inauguration in 1985.
To accommodate the public, the 20,000-seat Capital One Arena in Washington DC will be open to the public for live viewing. About 250,000 tickets have been issued to invite guests to attend activities around the Capitol area.
Trump’s second inauguration is not only a major political milestone, but also a showcase of the intersection of politics, technology and culture. With the presence of top leaders and celebrities, this promises to be a memorable event in American history.
At the event taking place at the US Capitol building at noon on January 20 (local time, early morning on January 21 Vietnam time), Vice President-elect JD Vance will be the first to be sworn in, followed by Mr. Donald Trump. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts is expected to administer the traditional oath of office to the new president. Next, Donald Trump will deliver his first speech of his second term as President. The length of the speech varies from president to president. Previously, Trump's 2017 inaugural address was about 17 minutes long, while Biden's 2021 inaugural speech was more than 20 minutes long. The inauguration parade led by Mr. Donald Trump will take place at around 3:00 p.m. (local time). |
