Launching the award "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Products"

This award honors outstanding digital technology products researched, designed, created, and manufactured in Vietnam to solve Vietnamese problems and go international.

On the morning of August 22, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to hold a press conference to announce and launch the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award in 2024.

“Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Products” is a prestigious and official award in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) awarded annually by the Ministry of Information and Communications to Vietnamese organizations and enterprises with excellent digital technology (CNS) products researched, designed, created, and manufactured in Vietnam to solve Vietnamese problems and go international. This is an activity to concretize Directive No. 01/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister (dated January 14, 2020) on promoting the development of Vietnamese CNS enterprises.

This year is the 5th time the award has been held to honor outstanding CNS technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, creating new momentum for economic growth, creating national competitive advantages and increasing labor productivity, creating more practical and comprehensive results that bring value to people and businesses in digital transformation, developing the digital economy for industries, socio-economic fields and new CNS products. The award also continues to honor Vietnamese CNS products that conquer the world, contribute to the development of humanity and make Vietnam prosperous.

Speaking at the award launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that this is an important and specific activity of the Ministry of Information and Communications to support trade and investment promotion, boost domestic consumption, and boost exports of new products, services, solutions and business models.

Over the past 5 years, the award has attracted many entries. Many award-winning products from businesses have been applied in practice, contributing significantly to the national digital transformation, promoting the digital transformation process of industries and fields more quickly and effectively.

The award has also created ripple effects, further promoting the development of Vietnam's IT and CNS industry, promoting the Make in Vietnam policy and strategy - creating, designing and manufacturing in Vietnam.

This year, the Ministry of Information and Communications will coordinate with VCCI to select and award gold, silver, bronze and Top 10 prizes for the best CNS products. “The Ministry of Information and Communications is committed to working with award-winning enterprises to bring digital technology products to a wider market and further. I call on the Vietnamese CNS business community to respond and actively participate in this award so that the Ministry of Information and Communications can find and honor the best and most deserving Make in Vietnam products in 2024,” Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong launched.

According to Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of VCCI, in the 4 years of organization, the award has discovered and searched for 234 Make in Vietnam digital technology products. “This is a meaningful number and we can proudly show the world that Vietnam's CNS intellectual and scientific products have been and are "on the stage", ready to "fight" and enter the competitive environment in the digital economy. The business community and people can enjoy the scientific achievements of Vietnamese CNS enterprises", Mr. Hoang Quang Phong shared.

The 2024 Make in Vietnam Award will include 8 categories. Of which, 5 categories are for CNS products serving digital transformation and digital economic development in various sectors and fields (industry and construction; agriculture, natural resources and environment; transportation, post and logistics; education, health, culture, society; finance, banking, trade, services). This year's award retains the 2 categories of 2023: "Outstanding CNS products for foreign markets", "Potential CNS products" and adds the category "Outstanding new CNS products".

The time for receiving registration and documents to participate in the award is from August 22 to October 22, 2024. The award ceremony will be held within the framework of the National Forum on Vietnam CNS Enterprise Development in December 2024.
