On the morning of August 22, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to hold a press conference to announce and launch the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" award in 2024.

The “Make in Viet Nam Digital Technology Product” Award (Make in Viet Nam Award) is a prestigious and official award in the field of information technology and communications to be presented annually to Vietnamese organizations and enterprises with outstanding digital technology products. These are products that are researched, designed, created, and manufactured in Vietnam, solving Vietnamese problems and going international.

2024 is the 5th year the award has been held to honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, creating new momentum for economic growth, creating national competitive advantages and increasing labor productivity. The award also honors Vietnamese digital technology products that conquer the world, contribute to the development of humanity and bring prosperity to Vietnam.

Speaking at the award launching ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that the "Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product" Award is an important and specific activity of the Ministry of Information and Communications to support trade and investment promotion, promote domestic consumption, and boost exports for new products, services, solutions and business models.

The award also contributes to bringing digital application innovations of digital technology enterprises to promote labor productivity growth in economic sectors and fields participating in the country's industrialization and modernization.

After 5 years of organization, the “Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product” Award has attracted many entries. Many award-winning products of enterprises have been applied in practice, contributing significantly to the national digital transformation, promoting the digital transformation process of industries and fields to be faster and more effective.

The award has also created ripple effects, further promoting the development of Vietnam's IT and digital technology industry, promoting the policy and strategy of Make in Vietnam - Creation, design and production in Vietnam.

This year, the Award will honor outstanding digital technology products, bringing pride to Vietnamese intelligence, products that are truly applicable and applicable to life. These are products that contribute to creating new momentum for economic growth, creating national competitive advantages and increasing labor productivity, creating practical and comprehensive results, bringing value to people and businesses in digital transformation, developing the digital economy for industries and fields.

The Ministry of Information and Communications will coordinate with VCCI to select and award Gold, Silver, Bronze and Top 10 prizes for the best digital technology products. The Ministry of Information and Communications is committed to accompanying the award-winning enterprises to bring digital technology products to a wider market and further.

“ I call on the Vietnamese digital technology business community to respond and actively participate in this award so that the Ministry of Information and Communications can find and honor the best and most deserving Make in Vietnam products in 2024,” Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong launched.

According to Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, in 4 years of organization, the Award has discovered and searched for 234 digital technology products Made in Vietnam.

“ We can proudly show the world that Vietnam’s intellectual products and digital science and technology have been and are “on stage” and are ready to “fight” into the competitive environment of the digital economy. The business community and people can enjoy the scientific achievements of Vietnamese digital technology enterprises ,” Mr. Phong shared.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry (Ministry of Information and Communications), said that the Make in Vietnam Award 2024 will include 8 categories.

Of which, 5 categories are for digital technology products serving digital transformation and digital economic development in industries and fields (Industry and construction; Agriculture, resources and environment; Transportation, post and logistics; Education, health, culture, society; Finance, banking, trade, services).

The Make in Vietnam Award 2024 retains the two categories of 2023: Outstanding digital technology products for foreign markets; Potential digital technology products and adds the category of Outstanding new digital technology products.

The time for receiving registration and documents to participate in the Award is from August 22, 2024 to October 22, 2024. The award ceremony will be held within the framework of the National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises in December 2024.
