On November 28, with a majority in favor, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the appointment of former Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang as Minister of Finance for the 2021-2026 term at the proposal of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Previously, the National Assembly approved the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc from the position of Minister of Finance for the 2021-2026 term and of Mr. Nguyen Van Thang from the position of Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.
