On April 14, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , the leader of the Nha Trang City Public Service Management Board said that the People's Committee of this city has extended the Nha Trang beach rental period by 1 month for 4-5 star hotels and businesses renting the beach to place umbrellas and chairs for tourism business.

According to the leader of this department, all contracts signed between this unit and 4-5 star hotels and businesses renting beaches to place umbrellas and chairs have expired on December 31, 2024.

Tuoi Tre Online asked why hotels and businesses are still allowed to rent beaches even though their contracts have expired, which is now mid-April 2025. The leader of the committee mentioned above said that there is no land price list for 2025 yet, so the Nha Trang City People's Committee has extended the lease until the first quarter of 2025.

The city then extended the deadline by another month (until April 30, 2025) to wait for the land price list and the results of the inspection of all business activities in the coastal area by the interdisciplinary inspection team.

"When the results are available, the inspection team will report to the leaders of Nha Trang city to have a plan to further handle the violation," he said.

According to the document of the Nha Trang City Urban Management Department (at the time before the merger), in addition to 4-5 star hotels, there are 5 businesses that are allowed to place umbrellas and chairs on the beach to provide tourism services, including Sailing Club Joint Venture Company Limited, Nha Trang Four Seasons Company Limited, Nha Trang Invest Park Company Limited, Blue Sea International Joint Stock Company (Louisiane restaurant), Blue Sea Trade, Service and Tourism Company Limited (BlueSea Beach & Bar).

In addition, Nha Trang City People's Committee also allows Zbeach Company Limited to place umbrellas and chairs on the beach.

The above mentioned businesses are allowed to place umbrellas and chairs on the beach within their management scope with criteria equivalent to 4-5 star hotels: area of ​​172.5m², maximum number of 6 umbrellas, 24 chairs, location of a part of the beach is assigned to manage in front of the businesses.
