According to BBC, Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump announced that he will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the morning of September 27 local time.
Mr. Trump made the announcement at a press conference on September 26. The meeting will take place at Trump Tower in Manhattan, New York City. During the press conference, Mr. Trump also reiterated his statement that he could quickly negotiate a deal between Russia and Ukraine if he defeated Ms. Kamala Harris, the US Vice President and Democratic candidate in the race for the White House.
The Ukrainian leader met with US President Joe Biden at the White House on September 26 and met with US Vice President Kamala Harris. During the Ukrainian president's visit to Washington, Mr. Biden announced more than $8 billion in new military aid to Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ms. Harris reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the Kiev government.
During his campaign activities in recent days, Mr. Trump has voiced criticism regarding US aid to Ukraine.
