Car plunges into a deep ravine in Quang Tri border district

On the morning of February 16, the leader of Huong Lap Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command) said that the unit's forces were protecting the scene and organizing the rescue of a car that had an accident and crashed into a ravine on Ho Chi Minh Highway.

Earlier, at around 8:15 this morning, Huong Lap Border Guard Station received a report from local residents about a traffic accident in Cup village (Huong Lap commune), so it dispatched forces to the scene to carry out rescue work.

At the scene, the rescue team recorded a white Ford Territory car with license plate 30K-104.96 running on the Ho Chi Minh Highway, West branch, in the direction of Quang Binh - Quang Tri. When reaching Km164 + 300 through Cup village, the car is suspected to have lost control and plunged into the abyss about 20 meters from the right embankment.

According to some local residents, after the accident, 2-3 people in the car were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital by people in another car.

Currently, Huong Lap Border Guard Station is coordinating with Huong Lap Commune Police to arrange forces to protect the scene and organize rescue of the crashed vehicle.
