On the morning of April 14, in Thanh Tan commune (Thanh Ha), the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Hai Duong province organized a conference to connect businesses with production units to promote lychee consumption in 2025.

5 businesses with representatives from 48 growing regions, 8 lychee export packaging facilities (7 facilities in Thanh Ha district, 1 facility in Lao Cai province) and a number of agricultural material businesses in Thanh Ha district attended the conference...

Officials from the provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection have informed businesses, production and packaging facilities about the market situation, consumption trends, requirements and standards for imported agricultural products, including lychees from countries such as the US, Japan, Malaysia, France, China and some EU countries. The Department disseminated new regulations related to the issuance, maintenance, revocation and management of codes for growing areas and export packaging facilities.

The Department recommends that Thanh Ha district and media agencies actively coordinate to promote and introduce Thanh Ha litchi to domestic and foreign consumers.

Local authorities with lychee growing areas focus on directing and supervising lychee growing areas, especially lychee growing areas for export. Instruct production teams and farmers to strictly comply with lychee production processes according to safety and export standards, invest in digital technology to trace product origins, etc.

In the immediate future, lychee production teams and groups must use the correct type of pesticides registered in the permitted list, in the correct dosage, and ensure a quarantine period of 35-40 days before harvest.

Enterprises purchasing lychees for export proactively sign contracts to link and consume products right from the beginning of the season. Notify specialized agencies of the signing program to coordinate the best management of lychee products in export growing areas. Be ready to take lychee samples to check for pesticide residues before purchasing.

Exporting enterprises research and improve packaging, product design and packaging to suit consumer habits in each market. Find solutions to reduce logistics costs so that lychee has competitive prices compared to other countries.
