Speaking to Hai Duong Newspaper reporters, Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nam Sach district, Mac Van Tuan, said that as of noon on July 25, Nam Sach district (Hai Duong) had not recorded any damage caused by floods to fish farming in cages on the river.
The district currently has 3,247 fish cages on the river, mainly carp and silver carp. The current rainy, stormy and flooded weather is favorable for fish cage farming.
Directly recorded at some fish cage farming sites on the river in Nam Sach district, the water flow is strong but not too fast. People have implemented measures to reinforce cages, mooring lines, and nets so they are not damaged. Flood water also helps to clean the water source, with more oxygen, which is good for fish.
However, in some locations with strong water flows such as in Nam Tan commune, along with hot weather after the storm, there are still sporadic fish deaths. People are not subjective, still on duty day and night to monitor the situation, proactively responding to the impact of floods.
