Asia Arts Festival 2024 takes place in Singapore for 6 days, from July 15 to 21. This is a competition of musical talents from 22 countries across Asia with more than 1,000 contestants participating.
Born into a family with no one involved in the arts, Kieu Oanh was fortunate to have the love of a father who was passionate about music. He passed that love on to Oanh. "Since I was little, I loved singing and always had the determination to do music-related work in the future," Kieu Oanh said.

At the age of 17, Kieu Oanh passed the entrance exam to the Vietnam National Academy of Music. After graduating as valedictorian of the intermediate music program, she continued to study vocal music at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music. Here, she was guided by Meritorious Artist Pham The Vy - Head of the Vocal Music Department.
Kieu Oanh said she had practiced diligently for 3 months before going to Singapore to participate in the Asia Arts Festival 2024 and tried her best to make a breakthrough on stage. It was her diligent practice combined with her determination for the "color of Vietnam" that surprised her with the grand prize. "I am very happy with the result. Winning the gold medal is beyond my expectations when I came to the competition" - Nguyen Kieu Oanh confided.
Ha Tinh countryside where Kieu Oanh was born is the cradle of sweet and lyrical folk songs. The traditional folk songs of her hometown are in the blood of the young female singer and were performed excellently by her, contributing to the glory at the 2024 Asian Arts Festival.
In this time of "bringing bells to strike foreign lands" and bringing back this impressive achievement, Kieu Oanh was highly appreciated by experts. She was commented to have a methodical but smooth classical music performance, contributing to the youthfulness and freshness of the song. "Kieu Oanh has a talent for singing, especially her dramatic soprano voice. She has a great passion for singing, especially classical singing. * Besides Nguyen Kieu Oanh, at Asia Arts Festival 2024, Vietnam has excellently had another gold medal from 20-year-old female student Dang Ngoc Anh - born in 2004 in Chuong My district, Hanoi, currently a second-year university student in the Vocal Music Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music. She is considered to have a bright, beautiful soprano voice and is a student of Meritorious Artist Ha Pham Thang Long.
At the Asia Arts Festival 2024, Dang Ngoc Anh chose the Aria Tosca "Vissi d'arte, vissi d'amore" and performed Giacomo Puccini's masterpiece excellently. The young artist said that he had practiced diligently with teacher Ha Pham Thang Long for more than 2 months to get the best results.
