Because she always remembers the director who was devoted to his profession and always transmitted positive energy to the artistic work attitude of his juniors, People's Artist My Uyen asked the family of the late Meritorious Artist Thanh Hoang to re-stage the play "Father Love" and change the name "Face to Face" to perform on Tet Giap Thin 2024.
The story is told by director Chanh Truc in a coherent, sincere and deeply humane way.
The play not only tells the story of Tran's two younger brothers partying and causing trouble in their hometown, hiding news of their father to extort money from their older brother, but also reflects Tran's miserable and tragic life in America.

Born in 1980, the script of Dear Father (original name: Video Letter) once created a buzz, now re-created in the era of technology explosion, the story is still relevant.
Instead of having to record a video and send it over, digital technology has now made it possible to meet face to face, but people's hearts are still distant. Based on this factor, small slices of the status of Vietnamese people living abroad, working hard to help their families, but relatives sometimes rely on that and become lazy to work.
The most painful thing for Tran is the deception of his two younger siblings, and also from adversity, Tran realizes the value of love is not just providing money.
Artist To Thien Kieu has another charming role in the play "Face to Face"
In the late 1980s, the play "Father's Love" won a high prize at the City-wide Mass Theater Festival held at Phu Nhuan Cultural Center, then became a favorite play at the Experimental Theater Club (the predecessor of the current 5B Small Theater).
In 2007, Meritorious Artist Thanh Hoang brought this script to the stage for the second time, gathering artists such as Viet Anh, Cong Ninh, Cat Tuong, Hoang Son, Thanh Hai... and in this third version, the story is completely different with many settings and situations that make viewers laugh and cry.

The play "Face to Face" features artists including My Uyen, Chanh Truc, To Thien Kieu, Trong Hieu, Ky Thien Canh, Kim Dao, Quoc Cuong... and the return of comedian Le Kham in the role of the father.
The role of Tran's wife is performed by People's Artist My Uyen. It is a tragic story. Through My Uyen's performance, she creates emotions for the audience to love the character Tran more.
Director Chanh Truc plays the role of a restaurant owner in America with great charm. He confidently portrays the perspective of a Vietnamese living abroad, loves the community, and shares with Tran the hidden corners of his family tragedy in his homeland as well as in the land that many people mistake for paradise.
Actor Trong Hieu in the role of Tran has mastered every dramatic situation, with an increasingly mature and assertive acting style and warm dialogue, showing that he has researched the character to bring emotions deep into the hearts of the audience.
In early 2024, after the role of Tu Le in the play "Aspiration for Tomorrow", he has another good role that promises to be loved by the audience.
