After winning the 2023 ATP Finals on November 20, Novak Djokovic immediately moved from Turin (Italy) to Malaga (Spain). Nole and his teammates on the Serbian team are preparing for the Davis Cup quarter-final against Great Britain tonight (November 23).
Serbia's Davis Cup captain this year is former tennis player Viktor Troicki, alongside teammates Laslo Djere, Dusan Lajovic, Miomir Kecmanovic and Hamad Medjedovic. However, Serbia's number one hope remains Novak Djokovic.

Sharing with the press during the training session on November 22, Djokovic shared: "Contributing to the national team is always my priority. I practice right away, because the time is a bit tight. I feel excited because my body is still serving very well. Hopefully we will achieve high performance in the upcoming matches."
Serbia will face Great Britain, with the match starting at 10pm today (November 23). Great Britain will be without Murray, but stars such as Cameron Norrie, Jack Draper, Liam Broady and doubles specialists Neal Skupski and Joe Salisbury will be in the mix.
The 2023 Davis Cup finals will feature eight teams, all gathered in Malaga. If Serbia beats Great Britain, they will face either the Netherlands or Italy in the semi-finals. The first semi-final has been set to be between Finland and Australia. Djokovic last helped Serbia win the Davis Cup in 2010.
Djokovic finished 2023 with 55 wins from 61 matches, winning three Grand Slams, one ATP Finals and two ATP Masters 1000s.
Daniil Medvedev warned Djokovic that he will face great competition from young players: "Sinner, Alcaraz, Rune are top players with high positions in the ATP rankings.
They are very young, there is not much difference in level between them and me, or even Djokovic. The difference is that Novak has 24 Grand Slams. When the young players play with focus, show their best form, Nole has to lose.
If I compare myself, the difference is that I started playing top tennis at 23 but the young players were playing top tennis at 19. But I enjoy my journey, I'm not like them. I'm going to make my own path, I feel really happy."
