Previously, on the evening of January 14, Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital received two children in a state of unconsciousness, pale skin, weak breathing, inhibited breathing, increased muscle tone throughout the body, irregular heartbeat, low and fluctuating blood pressure. Doctors diagnosed both children with coma, acute brain syndrome, severe heart rhythm disturbances and monitored for unknown poisoning.

The hospital mobilized maximum human and material resources to provide timely emergency care for patients according to the acute poisoning treatment protocol. The patient received ultrasound, X-rays, and timely emergency care right at the hospital bed; continuous blood filtration and plasma exchange; circulatory resuscitation, multiple cardiovascular support drugs; intravenous nutrition, electrolyte replacement, blood transfusion and blood products. At the same time, doctors at Thanh Hoa Children's Hospital continuously consulted with upper-level hospitals to agree on treatment protocols and consulted with hospital specialties to coordinate emergency care and treatment for the patient.
