Mytel has become the number 1 telecommunications provider after 3 years of operation with coverage of 92% of Myanmar. With more than 13 million customers, Mytel is the network operator with the largest customer base, with total cumulative revenue over 5 years reaching more than 2.2 billion USD.

Celebrating 5 years of business in Myanmar, Mytel - Viettel Group's brand in Myanmar, has made its mark as the leading network operator in terms of market share and service quality in this country. Mytel's total cumulative revenue in 5 years reached more than 2.2 billion USD, making it the market with the highest service revenue in 2022 for Viettel.

Mytel coverage has reached 92% of Myanmar's area

Currently, Mytel leads the mobile service market with 13 million customers. With coverage of nearly 90% of the population, Mytel is also the network operator with the largest and best 4G coverage in Myanmar. Mytel has helped increase the proportion of high-speed mobile users in Myanmar from 16% to 88%; at a cost 40% lower than before.

Along with the effort to cover telecommunications, Mytel has built a comprehensive digital ecosystem, including digital infrastructure, digital finance, digital content, digital solutions and cybersecurity. Of which, MyID SuperApp is the largest in Myanmar with 24 million users, accounting for nearly half of Myanmar's population. MytelPay e-wallet has helped the digital payment rate increase from 3.6% (2019) to 10% (2023). Currently. MytelPay has 3 million users making transactions every month.

Mytel has helped reduce Myanmar people's telecommunication costs by 40% compared to before.

Mytel has also contributed more than 6 million USD to social activities. Mytel has sponsored fiber optic Internet for more than 630 schools. The Empower My Children Fund was established by Mytel with the desire to bring a healthy life to disadvantaged children in Myanmar. The Fund supports 100% of the cost of surgery for children with congenital heart disease and supports part of the cost for children with Down syndrome.

Mytel is the first mobile network operator to launch 5G technology in Myanmar

Myanmar is the 10th market, and is the largest market with the largest population among all the markets that Viettel has invested in. After only 1 year of infrastructure development, Mytel became the first mobile network to cover 4G nationwide in Myanmar, contributing to upgrading Myanmar's telecommunications infrastructure.

With 4G technology, Mytel provides a digital ecosystem from VAS services to IT solutions to help turn Myanmar into a digital nation. In August 2019, Mytel was the first mobile network operator to launch 5G technology in Myanmar.
