Officials and members of the Women's Union of Thuan An City started building houses for poor women, implementing the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Xuan, Vice President of the Women's Union of Thuan An City, on April 12, the Women's Union of the city coordinated with the City's "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee to start building a new house for women members in difficult circumstances in An Thanh Ward. This is one of the tasks to implement the emulation movement "Thuan An Women behave civilly, live with affection" associated with the emulation movement "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" for poor and disadvantaged households in the area, practically making achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

With the mobilized money, the Women's Union of Thuan An City donated 60 million VND to build houses for poor women.

“The Women's Union of Thuan An City wishes to contribute to the common development of the locality; thereby contributing to creating conditions for disadvantaged women's members in the area to have stable housing. The house was built with a total cost of 100 million VND (of which the Women's Union of Thuan An City contributed 60 million VND, the remaining was supported by the Fund Mobilization Committee "For the Poor" of Thuan An City). The house is expected to be completed in April 2025. In addition to this newly built house, the Women's Union of Vinh Phu Ward has also registered to repair an old, severely damaged house for a member in difficult circumstances," said Ms. Hong Xuan.

Along with that, many tasks and projects of cadres, members, and women's unions in wards and communes in the city were also carried out this April. These include: a free badminton court project for women's union members, the project "Thanh Quy 2 Flower Garden" (implemented by the Women's Union of Thuan An City in collaboration with the Women's Union of An Thanh Ward), the "Smart Traffic Light" model, the "Learning the History of the Party Committee of An Phu Ward" contest, giving 150 gifts to poor women in An Son commune, giving trash bins to classify waste at source to members of the roads managed by women's unions, etc.

Many other meaningful activities were carried out, aiming to take care of disadvantaged women and children such as the monthly program "Accompanying poor women to overcome difficulties", mobilizing cadres and members to participate in supporting and assisting poor women and women with serious illnesses in the area in the form of donating money, working days, giving gifts, giving health insurance cards, giving savings books, giving gifts to children of disadvantaged members, helping children go to school in the 2025-2026 school year, building toilets for ethnic minorities in Loc Khanh commune, Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province.

The sisters also divided the work to give gifts to women in difficult circumstances and without jobs, installed solar lights in an alley in Hung Loc neighborhood, Hung Dinh ward, gave 100 gifts in the program "Millions of gifts to share love", sponsored a girl from a near-poor orphanage to continue studying, supported her with 2 million VND per month to cover her studies, gave 5 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND/scholarship...

Giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances

With the motto of PN Thuan An to behave civilly and live with love, the sisters have done many things together that are very valuable and worthy of recognition. That is also an achievement towards the historic April days, towards the great holidays of the country in 2025.
