Bustling fish market at the end of the year

At around 3:30 a.m. on February 6, at Tho Quang fishing port, a large number of traders and people gathered to buy and sell. The atmosphere of the fish market during the last days of the year is very bustling and crowded.

Vehicles continuously come and go, carrying fish and shrimp to the markets before dawn. According to many traders, during this time, the number of boats docking at the port has increased sharply, so the seafood output at the market has also increased sharply, the price of fish is relatively stable, not increasing suddenly. People's demand has increased by about 10-15% compared to previous months.

The seafood that many traders and people choose to buy for this occasion is mostly mackerel, tuna, needlefish, grouper, squid... Through a survey, mackerel weighing less than 3.5kg/fish costs from 240,000 - 250,000 VND/kg, over 3.5kg costs from 280,000 - 300,000 VND/kg; beef tuna (over 2kg) costs from 100,000 - 110,000 VND/kg; striped tuna (over 3kg) costs from 60,000 - 80,000 VND/kg.

The fish market atmosphere in the last days of the year is very bustling and crowded.

Hairtail fish is priced from 170,000-110,000 VND/kg; cobia from 190,000-200,000 VND/kg; black pomfret weighing over 800gr from 150,000-160,000 VND/kg; 25cm squid from 300,000-320,000 VND/kg.

According to the Tho Quang Fishing Port and Lock Management Board, from February 1 to 6, the number of fishing vessels and vehicles operating at the Tho Quang fishing port and seafood wholesale market was 2,173, including 167 fishing vessels and 2,006 cars. The output of seafood through the port was 360.6 tons, of which the output transported by fishing vessels was 150 tons and by cars was 210.4 tons.

Seafood output through the port from February 1 to 6 was 360.6 tons.

The types of seafood that many traders and people choose to buy for this occasion are mostly mackerel, tuna, and hairtail...

Striped tuna (weight over 3kg) is priced from 60,000-80,000 VND/kg.

According to the Tho Quang Fishing Port and Boat Management Board, from February 1 to 6, there were 2,173 vehicles and fishing boats entering and leaving for business and trading activities.
