According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, early on February 9, cold air continued to affect some places in the South Central region. Northeast winds inland increased to level 3, coastal areas to level 3-4, with gusts of level 6 in some places.

The Northern region is very cold, very cold; the North Central region is very cold; the area from Quang Binh to Hue is very cold, very cold in some places.

The lowest temperature in this cold air mass in the North is commonly from 9-12 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 5-8 degrees Celsius, in high mountainous areas in some places below 3 degrees Celsius.

The North Central region has a common temperature of 11-13 degrees Celsius, the area from Quang Binh to Hue has a common temperature of 14-17 degrees Celsius.

- Lowest temperature in the North is 19-21 degrees Celsius, in the South is 22-24 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature in the North is 22-26 degrees Celsius; in the South is 27-30 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands

- Cloudy, with showers in some places. Northeast wind level 3. Cold morning and night. Lowest temperature 15-18 degrees Celsius.

Southern Vietnam

- Cloudy, sunny during the day, showers at night in some places. Northeast wind level 3.

- Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius, some places in the East below 20 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 29-32 degrees Celsius, some places above 32 degrees Celsius.

Weather at sea

At sea, during the day and night of February 9, the North and Central East Sea (including Hoang Sa sea area), the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Binh Thuan and the sea area west of the South East Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa) will have strong Northeast winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; in the Northeast of the North East Sea area, the wind will sometimes be level 8, gusting to level 9-10. The sea will be rough, with waves 5-7m high.

The sea area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen and from Ba Ria-Vung Tau to Ca Mau has strong northeast wind level 6, gusting to level 7-8. Rough sea, waves 4-6m high.

Strong winds and large waves at sea can affect the operation of ships and other activities. Severe cold, frost, snow and ice can affect livestock and poultry; greatly affect the growth and development of crops.

Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure./.
