Confidently move forward with insurance benefits

The number and scale of life insurance benefits payments are increasing, especially payments for critical illnesses, showing that insurance products are truly becoming practical, helping many people regain their confidence, overcome difficulties and move forward in life.

Such is the case of Mr. Ly Tung Lam, 31 years old, living in Thai Nguyen. Mr. Lam lost his ability to work after a serious traffic accident. The consolation is that at the time of the accident, Mr. Lam owned two insurance contracts with Prudential. Thanks to the insurance, he received more than 3.4 billion VND in total and permanent disability benefits. "Since the day I had the accident, my wife has had to stay home to take care of me, not go to work, and have no salary. This money is a lifesaver for my family," Mr. Lam shared.

Another case is Ms. Truong Thi Huu (residing in Tay Ninh) who received 2.2 billion VND in permanent total disability benefits due to Alzheimer's disease. Ms. Huu is the breadwinner of the family, raising her children alone. Because she is a businesswoman, Ms. Huu proactively took care of everything by purchasing life insurance many years ago.

“My mother had Alzheimer’s, and when it was discovered it was too severe, the doctors said it could not be cured. She took care of the family by herself. When she woke up, she said that if she got sick in the future, no one needed to worry or bother anyone,” said Nguyen Duc Giang, Mrs. Huu’s son-in-law.

Serious accidents or serious illnesses always leave a burden not only on the victim, but also on relatives in terms of finance, health and spirit. However, if there is some financial compensation, the next step will be less difficult.

The growing role of life insurance

Every year, the amount of money and the number of cases receiving insurance benefits continue to increase. At Prudential alone, as of the third quarter of this year, Prudential has paid VND1,504 billion to about 108,000 customers who faced risks related to insurance events including death, total permanent disability, medical care, critical illness, etc., an estimated increase of 25% compared to the same period last year.

These figures show that insurance products are increasingly entering life, insurance coverage is also increasingly wide, providing financial protection for many participating customers.

The good news is that previous concerns such as delays and difficulties in claiming benefits are gradually fading away. Businesses in the industry are making efforts to implement digital transformation to improve and simplify the process.

This is also a practical action that demonstrates Prudential's role as "the most trusted companion and protector . " , Ms. Ha emphasized.

In fact, the settlement of benefits has been largely done through electronic platforms, thanks to which the approval time for a payment has been shortened to just a few dozen minutes.

For example, at Prudential, the unit receives about 500 GQQLBH requests per day, of which up to 80% are submitted online, the rate of requests processed within 30 minutes is nearly 17% and nearly half of the requests are processed on the same day.

In addition to the procedural element, the role of insurance consultants is still emphasized in customer support. As in the case of Mrs. Huu in Tay Ninh, her family said, “the family did not call to inform, nor did they think they would receive insurance benefits.” But when they learned about the matter, the consultant enthusiastically guided the family through the steps. “ At times like this ,   Understanding that customers need us more than ever , we always want to be there in time to support them and their families in the best way possible. ”, Ms. Nguyen Kim Ngoc Quyen, Director of Prudential Tay Ninh General Agency Office, shared.

The efforts from insurance companies, as well as the sense of responsibility, dedication and professionalism of consultants in supporting customers are bright spots to build trust in the insurance market.
