Musician Nguyen Van Chung: "It's not Hoai Lam's fault"

On the evening of March 26, musician Nguyen Van Chung sent an apology after receiving mixed reviews about the song "Nguoi het thuong minh" composed by him and performed by Hoai Lam.

Nguyen Van Chung said he felt guilty and sorry towards Hoai Lam after reading all the mixed reviews and comments related to the song. The musician admitted that his song was not good and impressive enough to suit Hoai Lam's voice.

I feel very guilty and sorry towards you because I think you still have a beautiful voice, you sing on stages where audiences still love and welcome you.

On the day of recording, even though I was sick, I tried my best to sing the way I wanted. Maybe my song wasn't good enough, special enough, impressive enough to suit and be worthy of my voice.

Even though those are emotions that I have gone through many storms to be able to feel and write down thoughts from my heart, and then I have to receive such evaluations. That is the fault of a musician, not Hoai Lam!", Nguyen Van Chung explained.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung admits that after many years of focusing on making children's music and taking care of his family, he has not been able to keep up with the rapid changes in the Vietnamese music market.

Young people's musical tastes have changed, their views on love are different, and the way they produce and promote a song is also very different. He said he needs time to learn and perfect all the skills necessary for a musician in the new era.

The song is included in the album "New Chapter" released by Nguyen Van Chung, and is a familiar ballad. The song was criticized for not being outstanding in terms of melody or lyrics.
