VTC News reporters contacted the hotline number of Thanh Buoi bus company in Ho Chi Minh City (028.38.306.306) but no one answered. When they contacted the hotline number in Da Lat (026.33.540.540), the operator informed them that from 5am on October 29, the bus company would stop transporting passengers until further notice.
The last passenger trip is at 2am on October 29.
On October 26, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Lam Dong Police simultaneously inspected the headquarters and branches of Thanh Buoi bus company in the area.
On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport issued a press release on the results of the inspection of Thanh Buoi bus station. Accordingly, the Department's viewpoint is to resolutely and strictly handle violations according to the law.
Regarding the violations of Thanh Buoi bus company, the HCM City Department of Transport Inspectorate is carrying out procedures to impose administrative penalties, while continuing to verify and impose penalties on the drivers' violations.
" For acts with signs of law violations discovered through inspection that are not under the jurisdiction of the Department of Transport, the files will be transferred to the City Police and relevant authorities for consideration and handling according to regulations," the press release stated.
According to the Department of Transport, Thanh Buoi could not extract aggregated data on vehicle records from the internal vehicle management software. This enterprise did not fully update the vehicle's operation process into the records (number of trips per month, cumulative number of trips) on the internal software.

Regarding checking data of the journey monitoring device, Thanh Buoi has many drivers violating the continuous driving time (over 4 hours) and the number of working hours per day (over 10 hours) according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 65 of the Road Traffic Law.
Some drivers do not use identification cards to log information as required, or use other drivers' identification cards to log information when driving a passenger vehicle. Many vehicles violate the speed limit 5 times/month.
In addition, the authorities discovered many other violations of this bus company such as: Not periodically checking the health of drivers, not updating the driver's working history in the driver's professional record in the internal human resource management software, the cargo transportation contract did not have full information according to regulations, the passenger transportation and tourism contracts did not have full minimum content; the transportation itinerary, time, pick-up and drop-off points of some vehicles did not match between the transportation contract and the monitoring device data.
