With the participation of nearly 400 professional and amateur players from 68 units, this year's tournament will include 12 competitions. The total prize value this year has been increased to 150 million VND, an increase of 20% compared to last year. This adjustment promises to encourage the competitive spirit of the athletes and attract more attention from fans.

Notably, this year's tournament will feature many famous players such as Nguyen Duc Tuan (champion of the 31st SEA Games, runner-up of the 2024 National Championship), Nguyen Dang Hiep (bronze medalist of the 2024 National Championship) and Nguyen Duy Phong (champion of the 2024 Southeast Asian Table Tennis Championship). The participation of these famous players promises to bring quality, dramatic and attractive matches.

Notably, to ensure the progress of the tournament, the Organizing Committee stipulated that each athlete can only participate in a maximum of 2 competitions. Of the 12 competitions, the event that attracts the most athletes is the amateur men's team with 54 teams participating and 14 teams participating in the advanced team event. The Organizing Committee divided the tournament into 18 groups, selecting the best teams from each group to enter the knockout round.

The 11th Hanoi New Newspaper Cup Open Table Tennis Tournament 2024 will officially take place on November 7 at Hanoi Gymnasium, 12 Trinh Hoai Duc, Dong Da District, Hanoi.
