According to Tuoi Tre Online, at some supermarkets in Hai Ba Trung and Long Bien districts, there were many people jostling to buy goods. The most crowded counters included meat, vegetables, fruits, clothes, candy, etc. Many people pushed large carts, cramming the aisles.

Going to a large shopping mall in Long Bien district with his family, Mr. Le Quang Dat (born in 1998, in Gia Lam, Hanoi) said that yesterday (January 24), he had just finished his last working day. This afternoon, he and his wife and parents went to the supermarket to shop, eat, and have fun.
"I want all members to be able to choose Tet items in one shopping trip," said Mr. Dat, holding a bill that was more than 2 meters long.
Meanwhile, holding a receipt with a purchase value of nearly 25 million VND in hand, Ms. Hanh (Hai Ba Trung district) said this was her 4th Tet shopping trip.
"I've bought it three times and it's still not enough. Now I have to buy more gifts for relatives and partners," said Ms. Hanh.
