From the morning until early afternoon of June 11, people lining up to get a number to enter the transaction area were standing on the sidewalk. Authorities were present to coordinate to avoid crowding and disorder.

A long line of people continued from the main gate down to the street.

Ms. Nguyen Tuyet Van (living in District 1) said she had been in line since 6am and was only able to get inside to buy gold at around 1pm.

"Here, they let you line up to get a number to go inside and buy. Each person can buy a maximum of 2 taels. I waited half a day just to buy 2 taels of gold. It was so hard!" - Ms. Van said.

Civil defense and civil defense forces were present at SJC Company headquarters to coordinate and maintain order.

Meanwhile, some people are impatient because of waiting too long.

People holding umbrellas and bareheaded people lined up in the midday sun to wait their turn.

Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tien (living in District 1) shared: "I heard that the price of gold bars is falling sharply, so I went to buy. However, some points of sale have stopped taking numbers today, so we have to wait until tomorrow. I am worried about whether I can buy gold or not because there is a long line of people waiting in front of me."

Other gold bar sales points of the company also welcomed a large number of customers coming to make transactions.

Previously, on June 10, the State Bank of Vietnam sent an urgent dispatch to the Ministry of Public Security regarding coordination in gold market management.

Accordingly, the State Bank said that information is spreading in the market about the State Bank lacking gold to sell; at many gold selling points, there are people hiring people to queue up to buy gold with the goal of pushing up prices, taking advantage of the difference, causing market instability and causing damage to the economy.

Therefore, the State Bank requests the Ministry of Public Security to direct relevant units to promptly coordinate to verify and strictly handle acts of spreading false information, speculation, profiteering, and market manipulation. Direct local police to coordinate to ensure security at gold selling locations of State-owned commercial banks and SJC company; limit the situation of subjects with bad intentions hiring people to queue up to buy gold, causing disorder.

The State Bank has also sent a document to the Hanoi Police and Ho Chi Minh City Police, requesting that relevant units promptly coordinate to verify and strictly handle acts of spreading false information, speculation, profiteering, and market manipulation. Directing the implementation of coordinated solutions to ensure security at gold selling locations of State-owned commercial banks and SJC Company; limiting the situation of subjects with bad intentions hiring people to queue up to buy gold, causing disorder and insecurity.
