The Vietnamese sports delegation still has many events that can win gold medals such as wrestling, fencing, kick-boxing, traditional boat racing, judo, sports dancing... In particular, the U.22 Vietnam team is expected to win the bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games.
In weightlifting, Vietnam has 3 representatives competing in the finals: Nguyen Quoc Toan (men's 89 kg), Phasiro (women's 71 kg), Tran Dinh Thang (over 89 kg). Heavy weight classes are not the forte of Vietnamese weightlifters, however, the athletes are still very determined, ready to surprise their opponents like Tran Minh Tri did in the men's 67 kg weight class.
In wrestling, the Vietnamese team participated in 6 weight classes of Phung Khac Huy (57 kg men), Nguyen Xuan Dinh (65 kg men), Ngo The Sao (70 kg), Can Tat Du (74 kg men), Tran Van Truong Vu (86 kg men), Ngo Van Lam (92 kg men). Rated higher than their opponents, the Vietnamese wrestling team promises to maintain their form to achieve their set goals.
In fencing, there will be two events: men's team sabre (Minh Duyet, Quoc Tai, Van Hai, Minh Quang) and women's team sabre (Vu Thi Hong, Phuong Kim, Kieu Oanh, Huyen Trang). In the dance event, the Vietnamese team will compete in two events, including two boys (Tuan Nghia, Thanh Dat) and two girls (Huynh Nhu, Hong Tram), promising to achieve the highest results.
In stick fighting, the Vietnamese team competed in the finals of 4 events including men's individual (Dinh Phuc An), men's team (Hoang Anh, Tien Cuong, Thanh Cong, Tien Thanh), women's individual (Nguyen Thi Thao), women's team (Ha Thi Phuong, Dang Thi Hien, Luong Thi Dung, Vu Thi Trang). Judo took place in the mixed team event.
In addition, the Vietnamese sports delegation also expects gold in kick boxing, sepak takraw, and traditional boat racing.
